Disability Prevention is Blooming

From July 2024 CBIDO scaled up its program to other new districts of Ngara, Missenyi and Kyerwa within Kagera region. Being on preparatory phase/year zero of implementation, CBIDO conducted introductory meetings for Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Pamoja Program (DPRPP) with Local Government Authorities from three new districts. The purpose of these meetings was to officially introduce DPRPP to their districts and establish a common understanding of how DPRPP will be implemented through the cooperation of three parties: Community, Government and CBIDO along with other development partners. The perceptions of all leaders from all districts were very positive about the approach and were very eager to cooperate to ensure the approach is implemented in their areas.
